AJCO has a niche and particular specialization in the following practice areas;

Property & Conveyancing

Our legal services include negotiating, documentation vetting and drafting of sales and purchase of propety, tenancy and lease agreements. We are familiar with land office/registry and stamp office practices and regulations for conveyancing transactions and have acted for a number of developers for housing projects.

Banking & Finance

Assisting on securitization of banking and credit facilities for both Conventional and Islamic Financing for consumer, corporate and commercial loans. This includes legal advices and preparation of documents and instruments for credit facility pertaining, but not limited to, purchase of properties, project financing, working capital and trade financing. The Firm also has experience in transboundary transactions , whereby we have advised financial institutions in Singapore, Hong Kong and China on securities provided to their respective customer which varies from Individuals, private and public entities and institutions.

Intellectual Property

Guiding the legal process in relation to Patent, Copyright, Industrial Design, Passing Off and Trademark, with a familiarity of regulations and procedures concerning transactions with the Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO). We have also advised our clients from various industries on matters relating to Intellectual Property.

General Litigation

With a focus on civil litigation, we have represented clients on matter of dispute resolution, debt recovery, probate matters and bankruptcy/winding up and auction proceedings to name a few. With a minor criminal litigation practice we have also represented client’s on bail proceedings and a number of charges under the Penal Code, Dangerous Drugs Act, Road Transport Act and a stint encounter with matters under the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act.

Commercial & Corporate Advisory

Advising on corporate transactions including listing of companies on the Main Board and ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad, private placements, issuance of private debt securities, mergers and acquisition and take overs. Our legal expertise in this area also delves into conducting , legal due diligence and verification exercise and drafting transaction documents such as Share Sale Agreement, Trust Deed, Underwriting Agreement, Placement Agreement and Memorandum of Incorporation of companies.
